How do you get rid of the rust around the Fuel Filter of a 1993 Chevy Blazer s-10?

Have you changed the fuel filter or is it rusted and you can't change it? If that you need to spray it with some good lubracant to loosen everything up. They do make a liquid that you can buy at a parts store to nuetralize the rust. Make sure you don't get this stuff on your clothes or in your eyes as its very caustic.
