On a MicroSD card, the my_sounds folder IS the my ringtones. On a phone, it won't let you move songs to ringtones.
You have to get a special cord
Some of the best places online to get ringtones would be ringzone or apple where you can download cheap ringtones. From apple you can access them straight to your phone.
You need to change the ringtone file format to .3g2 And use the usb that your phone came with

Yes, there are free ringtones for the LG 160. Be weary of the "free" tag though because sometimes you'll get bombarded with spam after supplying your phone number. One company that offers them is Zedge.
Lg chocolate is pretty cheap. Sidekick 3.
When you bought the phone you should have also had a 'users manual' explaining if and how themes can be downloaded from LG. There will be companies who have nothing to do with LG who will promise they have ringtones for your 'phone, If the offer is too good to be true it probably is too good to be true.
You can customize ringtones for your LG Rumor Touch. Use a USB cable to connect your phone to your computer. Click "Start" to access "My Computer". Double click the "Phone Card" folder. The Apple operating system stores this file on the desktop. Find audio files you want to use as ringtones. Click the files individually and drag them into your "Phone Card" folder. Copies of the audio files are now on your phone. Detach your phone from the computer. MAC users must click and drag the "Phone Card" to the trash then disconnect the cable.
