i think that if the person hates you, unless they're a family member or were a trusted friend that you ruined the relationship with by doing something, you should just leave them alone just like they're leaving you alone, even if you really want to go after the person especially if it's an ex or something of the sort.
If you want to still have a relationship, you might try letting them vent their feelings - ask them what specific things they hate and just let them talk without saying anything. Once they have gotten their emotion out of the way, tell them how you feel - actually start each sentence with "I FEEL -" and just describe YOUR emotion, not anything about them. "I feel sad that you hate me," "I feel hurt that you hate me," whatever.

∙ 12y agoFirst of all try to know that why someone hates you and then do something to make change in thing of you that someone hates. There should be something wrong in you which makes him/her hate you. First of all, try to find out that thing and then try to be away from that thing.
After all this, try to get close to him/her and try to help him/her (in beginning) not showing that you are interested in helping him/her. Then gradually make him/her realize that you want to help him/her and you always want to be there for him/her. Then start to share somethings with him/her and make him realize that you only share your feelings with him/her. Don't hurry in such matters. Anticipation will provide you more best results.

Why would you want to be friends with someone that hates you, if they hate u now they probably still will nomatter what. even if u did make friends wth them they probably wouldn't be a very good friend, so you should just forget about them and don't worry whether they like u or not, even if the don't alot of people probably do.

∙ 7y agoSometimes talking to them can be a good option. Sitting down with them and saying that you guys don't have to be friends or to like each other but if you guys are around the same people that you could just smile or say hello to make it easier.
If they don't accept your offer or agree with what you're saying, they are proving they are immature.
