- Right click your desktop
- Select "Screen Resolution" and a window will open
- From here, you'll have several drop-downs. You'll want to click the one next to "resolution", and select the highest setting available. You can play around this until you're happy with the screen dimensions. To apply your selections, click "Apply" and then "OK"
Otherwise, if you are referring to full screen on your internet browser - this can be done very simply by hitting (not literally of course -- a slight tap will do) the F11 key. To get out of the full screen mode, just tap F11 again and your browser will be back to normal.

∙ 11y agoScroll your mouse to the top right of the screen, and on the right hand top corner there should be 3 icons, click the one in the middle, and then click it again. you will be out of full screen mode and back onto the webpage.

∙ 9y agoI have looked at the screen resolution which is 1920 x 1080 (recommended). But I still have black all the way around. I took a screen shot, but will not let me add it in here. so what can I do to make it full screen. I have trouble seeing emails, or or things like that due to this problem. Thank you for your help.

∙ 9y agoIt's basically not "the computer" but specific programs that go full-screen - that is to say, you set an individual program to fill up the entire screen. Some programs have such options, some don't. The shortcut keys or menu options to go into full screen may vary, depending on the program. Many programs - for instance some video players - use the shortcut key Alt-Enter. In browsers, you can press F11. If none of these works, check the menu options of the specific program which you want to go into full screen.
