We had this same problem and found out through trial and error that there is a switch on the roof control panel (in our 2003 model) that apparently kills all lights in the cabin when the doors open. (Our young son had been playing with all the buttons in our "new" van one day without us knowing!) It is the button closest to the driver above the rearview mirror.
In my 02 Aztek, I turn the headlight knob (on the dash left of the steering wheel, above your left knee) clockwise to get the interior lights to come on.
Put your E brake on before you start start it this will slove your problem the lights will come on when you take the break off before driving
1999 - 2005 Models:Set dome light position to "Auto". It's that simple.
The Pontiac Montana does not come with a factory installed amp in the sound system. The wiring goes directly from the radio to the speakers.
If the interior lights do not come on it could be because the bulbs burned out. It can also be because the fuse blew out as well.
I had this problem in my 97. Turned out to be a door senser in the drivers door. Solution was to cut the wire. The only effect it had was the interior lights don't come on now when you touch the door knob however they still come on when you open the doors
On the interior lights for the back seats, there is a switch. When you turn the switch to "Door" mode it will make the lights turn on when the door is opened.
If the interior and parking lights are not working on a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, the first fuses to check would be the interior light fuse. Also check to make sure the light switch is in the right position to allow the interior lights to come on.
If only the interior lights won't work, check the fuses.
Remove the 2006 Pontiac Montana wheel and tire. Remove the brake pad Springs. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.
I had a car that had a failed combination switch (the turn signal, hi-low beam, parking lights switch). I could get the lights to come on if I set the switch to high beam, but not low. A new switch and, viola! Verrry expensive to have dealer repair. If this is your problem, hopefully you have a mechanic friend.
Mine was a red with black interior...you can usually find a local shop that has all the colors Pontiac had that year in a book
