How do you get through the gate on cryptids island?

After you have proven the existence of the Jersey Devil, and Nessie, and the Chupacabra, but not the Yeti, you get another chance when Bigfoot is sighted.

But Gretchen Grimlock tries to spirit him away and you have to stop her and save Bigfoot. Get close to her helicopter, jump across, open her fuel cap, and cut loose Bigfoot's cage with your shears. You float down safely with the cage.

You have to give up the million dollars, but you do get the Island Medallion.

There are 5 cryptids, or legendary creatures, that need to be confirmed as real. One (the giant squid) has already been confirmed, so the four remaining are the Yeti (Bigfoot), the Loch Ness Monster (Nessie), the Chupacabra (goat sucker), and the Jersey Devil (flying demon). By visiting the four locations in the world where these have been seen, you find evidence that proves they exist. This requires more than one trip in some cases.

When you are at the locations, return to the Mews mansion. You can walk left out the open gate to Mansion Row and Main Street. This is handy if you want to play ad-games during your quest.

*To leave almost anyplace on Poptropica, you can use the Haunted House card from the Poptropica store. Entering and exiting the Haunted House game sends you to the island map. This is handy for escaping glitches.

You don't get through the gate at the Mews mansion. You are rescued and brought there, and then you can leave through the gate.

The gate in the forest in New Jersey requires you to have the lantern (Himalayas) and matches (pub in Loch Ness), so that you can see when you "look around" (get off the motorcycle).

The original version of this game required skill, but the variation here is substantially unbeatable. Because you have limited diagonal moves, there is no way for the Yeti to win every time.

The best way to proceed is to move forward (left) twice in a row. About one game out of three, the bottom hunter will make a mistake and let you slip past, and the other hunter will not stop you.

Gretchen will hurt you and you will end up in Mr mews mansion. go to the museum in his mansion and watch all of the videos. then mews will give you permission to ride his helicopter to the loch Ness monster and talk to everyone. go to one of the gift shops and win an old guy at darts. then you will get a rowboat ticket. you will also find a camera. next go to pouter Rico by using the mans Jeep go to his brothers house , give him the seeds and go all the way left and yo will get a fur sample. go back to mews mansion and do a DNA test. then go back to the helicopter and go to the Himalayans. talk to the guy with the gear on his back. he will guide you up the mountain to the top. then go inside that building and talk to the guy holding the lantern. he will end up giving you the lantern. then go up the mountainside and talk to the guy and win his little game. then he will let you pass him. once you win the game go to the mountainside above the man and take a picture of the footprint that may be yeti's. then take it back to mews. then go to the loch Ness monster and give you ticket to the guy next to the submarine. once you are there take a picture and bring it back to mews.
