Its a pain but not that bad. You don't have to move the engine but it might help. Go to Harbour Freight and get: (1) A stubby fine tooth ratchet wrench (2) They also sell a regular size ratchet you can slide out and extend (3) a short extension (4) a swivel (5) A $3 plastic wire boot puller. Using one or the other or a combination, you can reach in from the left side of the car just under neath the alternator and get to the plug wires and plugs on two of the back ones. The farthest one away from you, you have to go in over the top. You can carefully find a spot to sit on the engine and get that one. You'll need to use the stubby and have a little arm strength to get them undone. One tip on removing spark plug wires is to grab them as close to the engine as possible and twist back and forth about 1/4 inch to break free the rubber gripping the insulator. Then use that handy dandy Harbour freight boot puller to get it off.
Three on the front of the engine and three at the rear.
The rear plugs are removed form on top. They are tough to get to. A swivel spark plug socket is very helpful. The plug wires will alo be very hard to remove. You need to twist the wire end on the plug th "break it free".
Assuming the engine is the 3100 or 3.1 ltr V6 ? Note any radio codes remove the battery ground strap remove the alternator Now it's possible to r&r the plugs by reaching through where the alternator lives. On the 2000 LeSabre, (3800/3.8L V6) there is no easy way. It is a mechanic's nightmare and the original plugs were installed before the engine was installed. That is why they used AC Delco Iridium 100,000 mile spark plugs.
The 1998 Buick LeSabre solenoid can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. There will be three solenoids on the firewall.

Follow the plug wires down to the plugs. The front three are easy I recommend trying to start on the three in the back first and working downhill! Good luck can be tricky.
The 2000 Toyota Avalon spark plugs can be located on each side of the engine. The spark plugs will be near the bottom of the engine. There are three spark plugs on each side.

There are three engines available. If it's a 6 cylinder engine, 6 spark plugs. If it's the 4 cylinder engine, 8 spark plugs.
The spark plugs are located on your head for the first three, when you open your hood and you find the metaling (head) that says 24 valve V6, there are 3 plug type things on there, those are the spark plugs, the last three, are under the plenum.
