How do you get to the battery on a 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle?

Remove the left and right shields/covers. On the left side remove the tool kit then disconnect the (-) cable (it is located right underneath the tool kit) On the right side unscrew the 2 screws holding the fuse box than gently pull it aside. Disconnect the (+) cable Gently pull, lift and twist a little bit to the left the battery and put it back on. (!) Remember when you pt the battery back in to connect the (-) first. Good Luck!
