I spent hours trawling the internet for this so hope it helps someone else! This works with the free live hotmail, there's a lot of old info out there that you need to pay for a premium version - no longer the case
Firstly type "Blackberry Internet Service" followed by your service provider into Google, i.e. "blackberry internet service o2" or "blackberry intenet service sprint"

Click on "create new account" and follow the instructions.
Before you finish, click on the "send service book" - this sends the settings to your blackberry so it will be automatically configured.
*Make sure you have called your provider to enable GPRS (easy to forget!) otherwise your phone won't be able to connect to the internet. If your blackberry browser is working that means you're ok
