How do you give the armor fossil to the fossil dude in Pokemon pearl?

I've found one,taken it to the man in Oreburgh City and got it evolved into Bastiodon!. It's Shieldon!.
you find a fossil from underground and go to orebrough city and there is a massive mining museum in the eastern direction... go in there and there is a guy in a white gown behind a counter, he is stood next to somebody else. Go to him and he will take the fossil off you if you say yes, then you go outside(make sure you have 5 or less Pokemon in your party then go back in and speak to the same guy... he should give you your newly-carved Pokemon.

∙ 12y agoGo up to the counter in Oreborough Mining Museum, and talk to the guy on the right (he has black hair and glasses). He will say something along the lines of, "I STUDY FOSSILS, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! YOU HAVE A FOSSIL FOR ME, YES?" Choose yes, and he will say, "OK, I NEED SOME TIME ALONE TO STUDY YOUR FOSSIL. GO OUTSIDE PLEASE NOW. NOW!" Then go out of the museum and go back in again. Talk to the same guy and he will say, "I HAVE FINISHED EXTRACTING THE POKEMON FROM YOUR FOSSIL. YOU KEPT US WAITING TOO LONG! THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! HERE IS YOUR [WHATEVER POKEMON YOUR FOSSIL BELONGED TO]". He will give you the Pokemon.
You must have at least one space in your party when you go to pick up the Pokemon, or he won't give it to you.
