Simple answer is this:
Positive (Red Terminal of the Battery) to the Red wire of the Fan
Negative (Black Terminal of the Battery) to the Black wire of the Fan.
Now more additional Information:
By wiring the fan as described above, you will have the Fan running 100% of the time.
a. You can put a Toggle switch in the vehicle and then you are responsible for turning the fan ON and OFF. If you forget to turn it on, then you will overheat, if you forget to turn it off, you will kill the battery.
b. You can wire it another way..... Instead of taking Power from the Battery, you can buy an attachment (Electrical Connector) and receive your RED POWER from a source that is ONLY ACTIVATED WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY ON. This is a better way of wiring the Fan and you can ground the Fan to the Battery or chassic. This is a BETTER WAY, not the BEST WAY.
The reason your Fan comes on when the fluid gets to certain level is FUEL is Expanded when heated and increases your mileage and if the fan is ALWAYS RUNNING, it takes longer to heat up your car. Many of the repairs to the FAN is done by replacing the FUSE RELAY. This is the BEST WAY to repair the system

∙ 11y agoYour radiator fan motor has a cable connecting to another cable that sends a signal from the PCM. Unhook those cables. Now look in the cable there should be a ground and a positive wire. Hook two jumper cables to it in that order and than to your battery.

I assume you are wanting to manually control the fan. Just run a positive wire from the battery to the toggle switch line side. Then run another wire from the toggle switch load side to the fan. Ground the fan at the fan location. Be sure and use a large enough gage wire to handle the current and an in line fuse to protect the circuit.

Run a wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the fan motor. If the fan will not run when hot wired, the motor is burned out and will have to be replaced. If the fan will run when hot wired, check the fan motor fuse. It us probably in the engine compartment near the battery.

A temporary fix would be to run the power for the fan directly to the battery. You would need a toggle switch to make it easier on yourself. Find which cable belonging to your fan is the one that conducts the power, on my car its the black and red one. You'll have cut off some plastic off that wire and then connect a good a wire from that one to the toggle switch, then run a wire from the toggle switch fo the positive post on your battle. The switch is need to be able to turn the fan on and off so you will have to find a way to run the switch into the cabin.

check power to fan, wiring, bad relay, bad fan. you can hot wire fan - take 2 wires w/ alligator clips on each end, connect each one to car battery terminal, then ground the NEG wire alligator clip to metal on car, then the POS alligator clip to terminal on fan, if fan is good it will run. Or take 12 volt test light (easier) buy one real cheap, one connector to each of the fan wires & if it lights up - then fan is bad. Cause fan motor has power directly to it so if not run = bad.
