One single trait (such as eye colour) does not depict if a cat is a pure breed or not. Moggies (mixed breeds) can have any eye colour, depending on their genes. The only way to really tell is if the cat comes with papers, or a DNA test. Even mixed or cross breeds can look similar to a certain breed, but again, its often difficult to determine correctly just by looking at the cat.
