89 Buick park ave install a heater coil
The heater CORE is a big job. Get a manual on your car to do the job correctly.
I would start with the Pickup Coil and the Crank Sensor.
Go to autozone.com then check out the repair guide. You probably will not like doing that job.
you have to remove the distributor. at the bottom of the distributor is a pin. CAREFULLY remove the pin, upon doing so the distributor will come apart. the pick up coil is the top piece. Runs about $12
even if its got bad wires or plugs it would run but run ruff or with a miss!!!! so check-- crank sensor, ignition module, ignition coil, or throttle position sensor..
How do I install rear coil springs on a 1996 Camaro?
There is no coil wire. There is a coil pack and connected to the coil pack is the ignition control module.
To locate ignition coil (IC): open hood, to left side of engine there are 3 IC's bolted to cylinder head; they have spark plug wires attached to them (6 wires between all 3 IC's). You can unbolt and swap problem coil with basic set of hand tools, just unbolt install rubber seal new coil comes with and install new IC.
Check the coil, coil wire, rotor, and distributor cap.
