It's 2 clips and should be very easy.
If you still can, just put the new cap and rotor on and install the plug wires the same way they are on your old cap.
In the distributor. You have to remove the distributor cap to gain access to it.
Yes, they should be interchangeable.
Replace the screws.
I don't know if this is true forsure, but I found a wiki answer that said it was behind the distributor cap. Because I bought an 89 accord that the cord is under the hood and it is not plugged into the block. I am having trouble finding it though because I have a feeling I may have to remove the distributor cap to see where the plug goes and install it. I also called the Honda dealer in my area and they said that it is either behind the distributor cap or by the oil filter.

Replace your distributor cap, it probably has a crack in it.
disconnect battery. remove distributor cap screws/latch leaving the spark wires in place. remove rotor. may have a screw or it may slip right off. replace with new rotor and distr. cap. check proper orientation and transfer spark wires one at a time from old to new cap.
You may have messed up the timing when you put on the new distributor cap.
inside distributor under cap (expensive) Honda calls it an ignitor its part of the distributor actually it is the distributor
Bad distributor Bad coil Bad distributor cap Bad rotor
all you should have to do is take the distributor cap off, and there it is. answer take the distributor cap off, pull the old rotor off, put the new one on, put the cap back on.
