How do you install a fuel pump on a 1990 jeep wrangler yj?

Open yellow pages-find a Chrysler dealer still in business.

Have vehicle towed to dealer and ask them to install fuel pump.

Wait until dealer calls and informs your vehicle is ready for pickup.

Pay dealer, get keys, drive away.

Get a Jeep Haines, Chilton, or best yet a your year jeep service manuel. Advanced, Autozone, NAPA, Riley's should all have a basic manuel.

Drain gas, have fire ext. ready be safe. disasemble electrical then the gas tank fuel line and the fuel pump. the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. make sure you have new seals for the pump.

Re-attach everything bleed the fuel line. starter her up.

est. time about 4-6 hour for novice.

you can buy a whole new kit tank pump all installed all you do is attach the fuel line and bleed it and fill her up. this is the best bet because gas tanks can crack with time and the reason you had to replace your pump was probaly due to sluggish build up crap in the tank.
