I have a G35 Coupe (2005) I asked the dealership the same question. Here was the answer: When car is UNLOCKED the gas tank lid will pop open with a slight push of a finger. If the car is LOCKED....it will NOT open. It does NOT have an internal remote button inside the car. Hope this helped.

Yes it does. After your car has been running, gas will vaporize. If the tank has more gas in it, there is less room for the gas to vaporize. This is also why its important to have your gas lid screwed on tightly to avoid gas to vaporize even more. If the gas cap it loose, you will lose gas due to the vaporization.

I´ve just changed the fuel pump from my 1996 maxima a few months ago, and it is located inside the fuel tank. You will have to remove the back seat, then remove the screws from the lid and there is a hose conected to the lid; have bucket or something to drain wath is left of gas in that hose otherwise it will spill all over,remove the lid, you will be able to see the gas pump. be sure not to do this with a full gas tank otherwise you will be wasting a lot of gas if you don´t have where to drain it.
