Well, without knowing what type of motorcycle you are talking about it is hard to give you a complete answer. *Most* motorcycles had a spedo port on the transmission in which the speedometer cable would connect. On some older Japanese models, the speedometer cable would connect with the front wheel. Some custom, chopper and bobber builders/ owners have gone the way of the bicycle and use small speedometers built for bikes. There are wired and wireless versions of these available.
