The Garmin Zumo is designed for a motorcycle and so it comes with an easy-to-install mounting kit made for a motorcycle. It attaches to the front near the rearview mirror and is locked into place with screws.
Well, without knowing what type of motorcycle you are talking about it is hard to give you a complete answer. *Most* motorcycles had a spedo port on the transmission in which the speedometer cable would connect. On some older Japanese models, the speedometer cable would connect with the front wheel. Some custom, chopper and bobber builders/ owners have gone the way of the bicycle and use small speedometers built for bikes. There are wired and wireless versions of these available. Another option is a GPS unit. Hope some of this helps. CD
Some speedo pinions are located inside the gearbox others on the rear dif . In motorcycle they are located on the front wheel axle and in racebikes on the front sproket shaft . Some are even connected electricly with no pinion .

Yes. If your motorcycle was manufactured after 1985.
You don't hook one up to the transmission, it doesn't have a speedo drive. You have to install a front wheel speedo drive.
A normal motorcycle has springs built into the front suspension. You may not see them because they are inside the forks/shocks.
The main difference between a bobber motorcycle and a regular motorcycle is that the first one has been modified or "bobbed". It usually has no front fender.
