There a a couple different ways. You can get the entire dashboard cluster with a tachometer from a 7th Gereration Corolla, 1988 to 1993... (1988 was the first Model year Corolla went to Front Wheel drive) or an 8th Generation (Model years 1994 to 2002) And a dash cluster/ gauge assembly after Model year after 2002 will not work. If you choose to do this it is very important to report what you have done because you have also changed the odometer, if left UNreported to the DMV in your state is 'tampering" and a Felony, and they will not listen to "I forgot" or I didn't know'. You must be sure the gauge cluster comes from a car with the same ECU you have, the tachometer is 'given' it's information from the ECU. Another option is an aftermarket tachometer you can mount anwhere you choose, but the tachometer must be hooked up to the ECM, that is the source of the rpm's. I can write out a step by step procedure to do that ...leave a message on my board

if you want or need that. David.hutchison.3139
