Follow the upper radiator hose to housing secured by 2 or 3 bolts--Thermostat is located in housing Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from radiator Remove housing Notice how thermostaat is installed in housing Clean both surfaces completely Install new thermostat and gasket Fill radiator slowly to prevent an "air lock" Start car and look for leaks Bring up to normal operating temp. with heater on and check coolant level
