Depends on the engine really. Most thermostats can be found under the top radiator hose hosing, generally aluminum. I recently changed one on a 1995 Corsica with the 2.2 liter 4-cylinder engine. It was found exactly under the top radiator hose hosing. Three 10mm bolts hold it to the head, unfortunately you have to drain some antifreeze and to do so from the top hose required some ingenuity to lessen the mess you make. A small funnel with a flexible tube attached, about 18 inches long feeding into an empty antifeeze bottle wormed underneath the front of the car where in the cavaity between the engine block and front bulkhead will just fit. Remove the hose by unloosening the clamp. Remove the 3 10mm bolts and gently pry off the hosing as it may be 'glued' in place with gasket seal. The thermostat will be inside the housing and can be removed from the housing. Clean the housing of all residue of sealant. Replace thermostat with a new one and place a gasket on the housing mating surface or smoothly apply gasket sealer to the mating surface and reassemble the housing to the cylinder head. Reattach the hose and clamp tight. Refill engine coolant surge tank or reservoir but do so with the engine running, inside heater set to warmest setting, on 'Heat', with heater fan at highest setting and running. Carefully fill with 50/50 mix antifreeze and check passenger compartment heat level. When it reaches the desired temperature and fill level - you're done. Cap the surge tank and away you go. Keep an eye out for leaks during the process of filling, they would mostly be seen at the sight where you disturbed the upper hose and hosing.
Remove the upper radiator hose. At the end of that hose is the radiator, at the other end is the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing and you will find the thermostat. Buy a very good thermostat or you will be doing it all over in about a year. Pay close attention to what side of the thermostat is facing so you don't install the new one backwards. Make sure you replace the gasket also, if it does not come with a reusable one. Don't forget to refill your antifreeze.

Drain the water from your 1995 Chevrolet Corsica cooling system. Remove the water supply hose from the top of your thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Lift the old thermostat out and drop in the new thermostat.
