The voltage regulator is in the alternator.
A regulator is referring to a regulator rectifier which converts the ac voltage put out by the stator to dc voltage and regulates it to a consistent voltage usually 12-14 volts dc.
No
Which regulator and what year? You have a window regulator, voltage regulator, fuel pressure regulator to name a few.
It's inside the alternator.
It's inside the alternator. no its external voltage regulator
A voltage regulator converts a/c volatge from the stator to dc voltage and regulates it down to under 15 volts. When they go bad they can over charge and take out a battery as well as not charge at all.
You must realize that you are not going to receive an answer when you do not even list what vehicle you are working on.
the voltage regulator is located in the voltage regulator compartment
When engine's rpm increase, the elctric generator of the scooter or motorcycle and any other vehicle will rotate also at high speed. It will produce more electricity the more you idle your engine. Some motorcycle's and scooter's voltage regulator is not accuratetely suppress the excess electricity coming from the electric generator (it is maybe due to price competition between vehicle manufacturers). Over-voltage will burn-out your lights and it shorten the life of your battery. So I suggest to modify your voltage regulator but only well known electronics technician or engineer know how to choose the suitable regulator and how to install it.
Troubleshoot the voltage regulator
The voltage regulator is integral to the engine computer. The voltage regulator is integral to the engine computer.
