I had a 1995 buick lesabre and the A/C compressor went out in the winter time. I waited until spring to replace the compressor. In the mean time, I used a Dayco 72.10 inch belt and bypassed the A/C compressor and it runs fine.
Also, consider whether or not you have the AC turned on. Probably either the relay sticking or a bad (or unplugged) engine coolant temperature sensor.
Un plug the drain which is on the firewall behind the right front tire.
just order a belt for a 95 Buick le Sabre without ac.
it is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, and is part of the big silver accumilator.
You have to go on the compressor! My husband has a 95 and the auto parts manager told him you have to.
Could be a number of issues, from mildew to coolant. You should ask a trusted service on diagnosing the issue.
You would just need to make sure that the batter is charged. You can get a new battery or hook it up overnight in an outlet.
Remove the freon from the 86 LeSabre with a reclaiming machine. Take off the ac belt and disconnect the hoses from the compressor. Unbolt the compressor and remove it. Bolt the new unit in place and hook up the new hoses. Pull a vacuum on the system and fill with freon
I just fixed a similar problem on my 95 LeSabre, got info from this website. http://www.imcool.com/articles/aircondition/fix_vacuum_line.htm
AC 41-601 platinum or equivalent
The ac recharge port is the low side port. It is on the hoses on the passenger side of the engine close to the belts.
