One way: this way works for what ever size you choose. Example: you have a 12' long wall and you want beadboard 4' up from the floor the full length of the wall, use a chalk-line to snap a line 12'L & 4' up from floor, now you have the area laid out you need a good miter saw (hand or power) to cut your first piece, a lot of beadboard or wainscoting is 3-1/4" wide, Square the end first by cutting a thin piece off, now cut at a 45 degree angle, your saw should start at the very corner of your board, when cut you should have a small piece 3-1/4" wide, 3-1/4" tall with a 45 degree angle, that is the 1st piece to go into the corner. (Important) The angle of your first piece is the length of the short side of your next piece, because they will mate together, make sure you have the tongue & groove lined up correctly, male to female etc., HINT..... try it with paper first until you get the idea. (its very satisfying to do it yourself, an when your done you will say, Gee that wasn't so hard) Good-Luck!
