It's bolted to the back of the cylinder head (right side when facing engine) inside a casing....it has an electrical connector on it and it's attached to this casing by one bolt. Unplug the electrical connector, unbolt the sensor and replace in reverse...
Are there any videos that show the replacement on replacing camshaft sensor on 2001 chevy impala3.4. Cant find any on youtube, thanks
No, there is no camshaft sensor on that model.
On a 2004 Chevy Astro, the camshaft sensor is located in the front of the engine. It is on the left side of the timing cover behind the camshaft sensor.
My 2003 Chevy Tracker would not restart when it was hot and finally would stall & not restart until it sat and cooled off for 10 minutes. It would crank but not start. We replaced the camshaft it solved the problem. It was located at the back of the engine, at the top and is held by just one screw.
when my camshaft sensor was going bad, the vehicle refused to crank after being driven and parked for a few minutes. If you wait a little while it may crank. I heard of people pouring water on the sensor casing to crank them also.
where is the camshaft sensor on a 2000 Chevy sliversdo with a 4.8L V8 motor
Do you have a video of the hhr camshaft position sensor
The 1999 Chevy Suburban camshaft sensor is located on the front of the engine. The camshaft sensor will be behind the front engine cover.

Camshaft position is taken from the distributor, there is no separate sensor.
