I did mine on a 98 Bonneville.
1. lossen lug nuts.
2. jack front up with e break on and tires chocked. (put on jackstands for safety.)
3. compress strut spings with a spring compressor( from auto store)
4. To compress mine I put the compressor on before jacking up the car so they were allredy compressed at step 3.
5. lossen your top bolts and the bottom bolts and see if it is loose if not you may need to tighten the compressor some more. make sure it is loose thou it is under a lot of pressure and could hurt or even kill you!!!!
6. once loose take all bolts and nuts from top and bottom the rest of the way off.
7. remove the strut assembly.
8. I would highly recomend using a monroe quick strut for a replacement so you wont need to replace all the parts on the old ones .
9. just slap the new ones on and rebolt everything if you are using the quickstrut.
10 if not dissasemble the old one and rebuild id wich is a pain because the new struts don't have all the parts you need to replace and 99 percent of the time special order.
