How do you install the side view mirror on a 1999 Ford Ranger?

Remove screws in the door handle and one screw in the lower outside corner of the door panel. remove the inside door handle. (It is fastened on with push clips and will pop out if pulled on with sufficient force or gently pried with something that will not damage the door panel. ) Remove one more door panel screw that was under the handle assembly. Remove the door panel by sliding it up. Feed the door handle assembly through the panel so you can get it out of the way. There will be a triangular access hole in the door frame right over the mirror ( it may be covered by plastic, if so remove the plastic but put it back after you're done) You will see the three mirror mounting nuts. remove them but TAKE CARE NOT TO DROP THEM INSIDE OF THE DOOR. (A bit of grease smeared in a socket will help to hold the nut in the socket after it is unscrewed if you feel the need)

That's it.

Reverse it to replace. Good Luck
