Well its kinda complicated. You see first you need a hydraulic jack to raise the front section of the truck. you need to chock the back wheels or set the parking brake. You place the jack under the front crossmember support and start pumping the jack. If you are going to get underneath the truck, put jackstands under the frame and lower the jack onto the jackstands. Then wholla. Jacked up
With a jack.
Is a rear end in a 88 4x4 Chevy truck the same as the front in gears of a 93 Chevy 4x4
Right behind the a arm in the front on the back on the rear end
will a 1988 rear end fit under a 1965 chevy truck
It is mounted vertically (straight up and down) on the passenger side of the truck in front of the front end cross beam.
Under the frame of the truck not the oil pan or exhaust.
Yes it should
Take the truck to your local Chevy dealer and have them adjust the torsion bars to lift the front and then do a realignment. About 100 bucks. New torsion bar keys are not needed.
Unbolt the bed from the frame. Its easiest if you have a machine to lift it up. If not, just jack up the back end to decompress the suspension to give you more room.
Dont do it.... This is a clip job.. was popular a decade or two ago... Get a Mustang II kit from Chassis Eng in Iowa or somewhere else... Rack and pinion steering etc.. far better answer!
Idler Arm on the front end. Starter goes if parked on a hill often. center bearing on the driveshaft
It means you have a fear of heights.
