Well I don't know what the Church of Latter Day Youcs is, Google says there isn't one. But I can tell you how to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

First, you should get in contact with a member of the church or with the missionaries. If you don't know any members and don't know where the church nearest you is, you can go to www.mormon.org, click "Ask a Question" and then "Have missionaries contact me". Next, you will be invited to have the missionaries in your home or at another location teach you about the church. You are welcome to ask them any questions, and they will continue to meet with you until you decide you are comfortable with being baptized. Once you are comfortable with making the commitment to be baptized a member of the church, and have kept the commitments that the missionaries have asked you to keep, the missionaries will arrange a baptism service for you. Visitors are welcome at our Sunday church services any time! You can find the local congregation's meeting time and learn what to expect at a Sunday worship service at www.mormon.org as well, click "worship with us".

You become an official member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) through baptism.

Certain qualifications must be met in order to be baptized:

First, you must have a basic knowledge of the church and it's beliefs and practices. Those interested in converting will work with local missionaries to be taught a handful of basic lessons and have all their questions answered. They may also attend an introductory Sunday School class as well as regular church meetings. Some prospective converts are baptized in as little as six weeks, while others may take years. It all depends on when you feel you have had your questions answered and are ready to make the commitment of baptism.

Second, you need to meet certain standards of righteous living. You must be abstaining from alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco, and illegal drugs. You must be abstaining from sexual relationships outside of a legal heterosexual marriage. You must be following the ten commandments and have repented of any previous sins. The missionaries and local church leaders can help you meet these goals.

Third, you must be at least eight years old and have parental permission if you are under 18.

The final step once you meet these qualifications is to have an interview with the bishop, who will approve of your being baptized. He will ask questions about your worthiness and ask you to bear testimony of God, salvation through Jesus Christ, and the restoration of the gospel through Joseph Smith. This is not a test about church doctrine, but rather a way of ensuring that only those who are genuinely interested are baptized.

Following the interview all that remains is to choose a date, choose someone to perform the baptism, and invite your family and friends!

If you are interested in joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, visit the "Related Links" to contact the missionaries or find your local congregation. Or, ask any Mormon!
