Listlesness, shallow breathing, no appitite. Your best to take your pet to the vets for a proper diagnoses.

When a mouse hits around 23 days of age it is considered an adult mouse. Mice that are lethargic, underweight, or not eating may be dying. A common illness for mice is malocclusion which means its teeth are over grown. If you grasp the mouse by the base of the tail by wrapping your pinky finger around it, then using your thumb and index finger to grasp the scruff of the neck tightly enough to have control but not tight enough so it can't breath. You can flip the mouse over and check the teeth. The teeth should be somewhat close together and the same length, the bottom teeth should be slightly shorter then the top teeth. If the teeth are odd lengths you may need to get a pair of scissors to trim them, the same goes if for example the top teeth are stuck into the bottom teeth. I wish I could send a picture. After trimming the teeth (to a mouse this is like cutting fingernails off a person) offer food that has been soaked in water to make it soft along with regular hard food. To avoid malocclusion get hard eitable items from a pet store so the mouse can trim their teeth as desired. Mice also like to build nest so adding a dry paper towel it can tear up and make a nest is a great environmental enrichment as well as empty toliet paper holders. Make sure the mouse has access to food at all times mice rarely become overweight, a fresh water supply should be provided with a water bottle that is always full, allow a small area of air at the top of the bottle to prevent an airlock seal.

I couldn't tell. The baby mouse my girlfriend and I tried to take care of this past week just died today. We had held him and had been feeding him just a half hour before, then, when my girlfriend went to get him, he was dead. It was really sad, we both cried for about an hour...=(

The best way is if you can foster the baby with another mom mouse who has babies of her own about the same size and age, if you can not do that then you want to get an irrigation syringe, you can get one from most dentists or some feed stores, and every couple of hours give it a little bit of KMR you can get that from almost every pet store, afterwards take a q-tip and stimulate the stomach and down by tail to make it go because unless you do that they will get backed up and die from the toxins. Also depending on how old the mouse is you may need to get up at night and feed them, as for temperature you need to make sure to maintain a constant temp of right around 80 F.

What do you put a baby mouse in?

If you have a baby mouse, dont put in a bathtub. Put it somewhere safe like maybe back outside. If you continue to keep this baby mouse, though, try a shoebox with tissues. That way the mouse can eat the tissues and have a comfy bed.

Can you put a baby mouse with an adult mouse?

It depends on what relation ship the baby has with the adult. if it is its mother than probably. but keep quiet, any sudden noises can scare the mother and this can result to it eating its young. if it is a male mouse than this may not be a good idea as they are very territorial and may kill the baby.
