put the transfer case in 4x4 and put it in gear
how do I get to the front bearing on a geo 4 wheel drive
Perhaps something in your front differential is not right and it is spinning your front drive shaft, instead of vice versa.
yes
The same way as a rear wheel drive.
YES Some were all wheel drive. Allthough both front & rear are limited slip, & the rear only if the front wheels are spinning.
tow from the front with the transmission in neutral.
It's an open front differential if it is stock. So is the rear differential
NO. that's wat they are for to let it turn
You can take it to a shop and have them lift it up and see if both drive shafts coming out of the transfer case are spinning (rear shaft and front shaft). If they are then make sure your front differential is ok... if both front axles are spinning, your hubs might be destroyed. If even one hub is not locking right you will not have front wheel power... the power will just spin that free/unlocked front axle. Hubs are not too expensive but really easy to install. If they are those black plastic looking hubs and they don't feel right when trying to engage/disengagezperiodzzperiodz they could be rusted out. Hope that's what it is.
there is no drive shaft it's front wheel drive
Remove the front drive shaft
yes put it neutral and tow from the front wheels
