With the engine warmed up and running, open the hood and feel both heater hoses with your hand. They should both be hot. If one is hot and the other is cold or warm, the heater core is plugged. If they are both cold or warm the thermostat is stuck open or you are low on coolant.
it will start leaking from under the dash
check the fuse on the fuse box,or under the passenger glove compartment is a piece that look like a coil i dont know what is call, but i had the same problem and change the piece under the compartment and in working
I have the identical problem on a 1991 Jimmy. I have replaced the blower motor and flushed the heater coil. I know the vents are working properly because they work when the temperature is selected to cold. I am wondering if there is something under the hood that redirects the aif flow either through the cooling coil or the heater coil based on the position of the temperature control. If so possibly the heater coil (air side) is clogged. I noticed that the heater coil is below the AC coil so it is possible that debris is down in it. I may try to pull it and clean it. Have you tried that?
Usually caused by leak in heater coil.
how do you change the heater core on a 99 cadillac deville? I need to know, "Kaiser."
You will have only cold air coming thru your heater ducts if your core is defective.
I want to know where the thermo switch of land rover discovery 1996 located in the car.
If theres a miss fire on a cylinder you check engine light will tell you.. Switch the coil from that cylinder to another and siwtch that coil to the cylinder that the computer says is missifing. If the cylinder you put your suspected coil on miss fires then you know its a bum coil.
Need to know what it is not doing, post more info.
Most people, who enjoy working with the coil, are very careful. So every person has to know the dangers to avoid damage.
