Here Is an Example Of Marked Toronto Police Car: youtu.be/HIFkBkPCpdE
A marked police car has all the stickers
such as Police, Dial 911 ect.
and an unmarked car is as it says it has none of those decals to indicate it's a police car.
I believe it refers to the officer's squad car. Stating that the car he/she pulled you over in was a marked car. Making it obvious that it was a police officer. Unlike an unmarked police car that would probably be driven by an undercover or plain clothes officer.
pull over slow down panic look in mirror
Yes.
i would say, when the police officers car doesnt have its lights on at night. hope this helps :)
The police officer does not own the police car, the jurisdiction he works for owns it, and yes a uniformed officer can drive an unmarked vehicle.
Yes
The definition of a ghost car is a car that does not actually exist that people try to sell unsuspecting shoppers on the internet. Another definition of ghost car is an unmarked police car.
Make three consecutive right turns. If they make those turns with you, you're being followed.
Police use undercover police cars to carry out covert operations and surveillance. These unmarked vehicles allow officers to blend in with the general public and gather information without drawing attention to themselves. Undercover cars are also useful in apprehending suspects who might otherwise try to evade capture if they recognized a marked police car.
No ... the only requirement is that the officer should be "on duty". Many police departments used unmarked vehicles - the reason is simple. If you are going the posted limits and doing nothing wrong, then what seems to be the problem with them patrolling in unmarked vehicles? It just keeps everyone on their toes, and instills a little fear into the mix, and that is a good thing. Slow down, save a life, maybe even your own.
Not enough information to answer."MOVE over?" Emergency lights or did he just flash his headlights? Did he pull you over or just blink them to notify he wanted to pass you? Were they in a marked unit or an unmarked car? Was it his privately owned vehicle? If they didn't pull you over how do you even know it was an LA officer?Too many scenarios and NO information with which to answer.
