i think it causes bad/rough idle
how do you k now the cam sensor is bad
run ruff or not at all get the right reading
No it will not start need to change the cam sensor & crank sensor!
If you have a bad cam sensor there will be no input sent to the computer signaling the position of the cam/crank...etc, and there will be no signal sent to the coils telling them to fire. So yes, a bad cam sensor will in part cause no spark. Try a new sensor, or pick one up for cheap from a junkyard.
No
There are a few symptoms when a car has a bad cam sensor. A few of these are sputtering, poor acceleration, and the engine stalling.
Yes. A bad cam sensor can cause slight hesitation of the vehicle, ultimately resulting in complete loss of power suddenly while accelerating. If bad, the cam sensor worsens, possible causing the vehicle not to start.
The code P0341 means that one or more of the following has happened. The cam sensor wiring may be too close to a spark plug wire causing interference, a bad wiring connection at cam sensor, a bad wiring connection at PCM, a bad cam sensor, or a damaged reluctor wheel.
The cam sensor tells the computer where your cam is in it's rotation. The info is used to determine spark timing and fuel delivery. if it's bad, you'll run rough or not at all. Vehicles with distributors will sometimes integrate thet sensor with the distributor. Otherwise, it will be located near the cam. I had a Vauxhall Vectra - terrible car!! - one of the problems was engine dying on me at any point whilst driving! it was almost impossible to trace the problem as it was an occasional fault, but stopped for good once the cam sensor was changed.
possibly a bad cam sensor , i had problems with mine dying as well i replaced the cam sensor and have not had trouble since
possibble bad ignition coil
The coil pack could be bad. More commonly the crankshaft sensor could be bad. When this sensor is bad the system cant tell where the cam location is and will no know when to send fire to the spark plugs.
