How many SPA missions do you have to complete to be a supervisor?

An SPA is encouraged to complete on average 25 tasks before being considered for volunteer supervisor status. This will normally consist of 5 Question editing tasks, 5 Answer editing tasks, 5 recategorizing tasks, 5 tasks working with alternates and 5 additional tasks. Everyone is different though and the amount of tasks it takes varies from person to person. If a SPA member can show that they know all about the site through completing these SPA tasks well, and that they can use all the tools, then they won't have to do as many. Remember, it's always a case of quality and not quantity. The ones that do well are always the ones that take their time and work hard to get things right, rather than just rushing through the tasks to get it done!

When is an SPA promoted to category supervisor?

A SPA will complete 25 of tasks before being considered for promotion. This will consist of 5 Question editing tasks, 5 Answer editing tasks, 5 recategorising tasks, 5 tasks working with alternates and 5 additional tasks. (Sometimes when an SPA works really hard, he or she will get promoted before finishing the 25 tasks so it all depends on the individual).A SPA will follow these guidelines for at least a month before promotion to supervisor is considered:Tasks - When a task is given, an SPA will complete it quickly and competently. They will be thorough and not just skip through it to get the job done. SPAs will not complain about tasks they are given for no good reason. However, SPAs will ask for help when they do not understand how to complete a task, instead of making a half-hearted attempt.Working with tools - An SPA will be able to ask and answer questions, edit answers and questions, split alternates, and recategorise misplaced questions with ease.Vandalism and Spam - An SPA will be able to recognise spam and vandalism, and know how to remove it. They will not vandalise questions or post spam, this includes message boards, and the community forum.Message Boards - An SPA will know how to use a message board appropriately. They will not use it for excessive amounts of chatting. They will be able to listen to advice on how to use the tools and also communicate their own thoughts on matters.Communication - An SPA will have good language skills. They will not answer any questions with "I don't know" or the like. They will not use "text language" such as "lol", "u" and the like in answers. They will be able to communicate in an appropriate manner, with clean language and good grammar.

What happens after you finish all of the SPA Tasks?

If an SPA completes a certain number of tasks to a high standard, they will be offered the opportunity to become a Volunteer Supervisor. This number of tasks will vary from SPA to SPA, as everyone learns and picks thing up at a different rate. The average is about 25 tasks, but some do more, and some do less. Once they have become a Supervisor, they can then choose to continue with the tasks if they wish and still help out with the site. The tasks then take advantage if the Super Tools and help the Super SPA get used to the changes. So technically speaking one can never finish all the tasks, because Stupid Little Genius has a never ending supply!
