Yes, some tasks that are given to SPAs involve answering questions. Some call for questions that already have answers to be edited, others are about correcting spelling or grammar, and others call for vandalism to be cleaned up. However, some tasks involve writing answers from scratch! There are many different types of tasks!

A SPA will complete 25 of tasks before being considered for promotion. This will consist of 5 Question editing tasks, 5 Answer editing tasks, 5 recategorising tasks, 5 tasks working with alternates and 5 additional tasks. (Sometimes when an SPA works really hard, he or she will get promoted before finishing the 25 tasks so it all depends on the individual).A SPA will follow these guidelines for at least a month before promotion to supervisor is considered:Tasks - When a task is given, an SPA will complete it quickly and competently. They will be thorough and not just skip through it to get the job done. SPAs will not complain about tasks they are given for no good reason. However, SPAs will ask for help when they do not understand how to complete a task, instead of making a half-hearted attempt.Working with tools - An SPA will be able to ask and answer questions, edit answers and questions, split alternates, and recategorise misplaced questions with ease.Vandalism and Spam - An SPA will be able to recognise spam and vandalism, and know how to remove it. They will not vandalise questions or post spam, this includes message boards, and the community forum.Message Boards - An SPA will know how to use a message board appropriately. They will not use it for excessive amounts of chatting. They will be able to listen to advice on how to use the tools and also communicate their own thoughts on matters.Communication - An SPA will have good language skills. They will not answer any questions with "I don't know" or the like. They will not use "text language" such as "lol", "u" and the like in answers. They will be able to communicate in an appropriate manner, with clean language and good grammar.
I wiki because I am a Wikianswers addict! I love answering questions, helping people out, making people laugh, and completing missions that are assigned to me as an SPA!
There is no time limit on SPA Tasks.
The flagged question will be taken care of by Special Project Assistants (SPA) or Supervisors, or even just helpful users. The Flagged Questions is a warning sign, and can mean tasks for the SPA team.
Well a beautician does hair, nails, massages and pampers your body...its like a mini spa to spoil your body with all sorts of treatments
The SPA program works on seeding new questions, recategorizing, cleaning up vandalism and spam, and other critical daily activities. For more information, see the link below.
If an SPA completes a certain number of tasks to a high standard, they will be offered the opportunity to become a Volunteer Supervisor. This number of tasks will vary from SPA to SPA, as everyone learns and picks thing up at a different rate. The average is about 25 tasks, but some do more, and some do less. Once they have become a Supervisor, they can then choose to continue with the tasks if they wish and still help out with the site. The tasks then take advantage if the Super Tools and help the Super SPA get used to the changes. So technically speaking one can never finish all the tasks, because Stupid Little Genius has a never ending supply!

Special Project Assistants perform tasks such as seeding new questions, recategorizing Q&As, cleaning up vandalism and spam and other critical daily activities that lend to a better overall user experience for all members of our community. They believe in giving for the greater good and are recognized by Supervisors for their time and effort. A SPA helps out around the site and there is a lot to do, so the more the merrier! Sometimes it is hard to know where help is needed the most so the SPAs are assigned tasks to complete in areas where Supervisors need a little helping hand. The tasks are normally quite simple. An SPA might be given a category to sort through, to make sure all the questions are in the correct place, and move them out where needed. They might be given a task to go through the alternates for a question, and split and move them where they are not asking the same as the primary wording. There are also tasks that involve making sure all the questions make sense and have good spelling and grammar or to clean up some answers that have been vandalized! There are loads of ways an SPA can help out! But most of all, being an SPA should be FUN! Anyone wishing to be an SPA should contact Stupid Little Genius via her message board or email Projects @ wikianswers.com (remove the spaces).
EEE2 was the first SPA to complete 5 tasks!
