The carburetor should be easily visible on most cars. It will most likely be located somewhere between the air filter and the intake manifold on the engine. Most carburetors are bolted to the top of the intake manifold on top of the engine. Fuel injected cars will have no such device. Cars older than 80's models will likely be carbureted, while almost all cars 90's and later are fuel injected. also, all diesel engines are fuel injected. It should be noted that carburetors do not actually distribute fuel, but mix fuel and air in the correct ratios for combustion.

The 95 engines do not have a carburetor, They are fuel injected / TBI Throttle Body Injection and there is no ajustment on them what so ever. You have other problems. Is check engine light on ?? If so then have engine scaned with an engine scanner and you will find your problem. I have a 95 Chevy 5.7 and its got a carburetor. I really don't know anything a bout them though. Sorry

If your s-10 is fuel injected, you won't find a carburetor because it doesn't have one. We need to know what year and engine size your s-10 is to help you with more info.

Where is the fuel filter on the 1969 amc rambler?

Follow the fuel line forward from the fuel tank to the fuel pump and look for the filter. If you do not find it, then follow the fuel line from the fuel pump mounted on the engine block to the carburetor. If you do not find it, then your Rambler may have the filter mounted at the fuel line intake on the carburetor itself. If you see a large bolt type connection at the fuel intake of the carburetor, the filter is located behind that bolt. Slowly and carefully remove that bolt with the proper tool and you will find a cartridge type filter that is spring loaded. If you buy the filter first then you will know what type it has. In-line or cartridge.Follow the fuel line forward from the fuel tank to the fuel pump and look for the filter. Does a 1985 ltd crown Victoria have a throttle body or a carburetor?

As far as I know both the 5.0 and 5.8 liter V8 engines in a ( 1985 ) LTD Crown Victoria have a carburetor ( starting with the 1986 model , the 5.0 liter V8 engine was fuel injected , but the 5.8 still used a carburetor )

Where the fuel pump located galant 98 carburetor?

The '98 Galant would not have a carburetor, but rather fuel injectors. I know on the '99-'03 the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank itself. Not 100% sure on '98, but they should be similar.

Need to know the fuel pump location and diagram for jaguar?

If your Jaguar is fuel injected the fuel pump is located on top and inside the fuel tank. If it has a carburetor it may be an in-line electric pump or the pump might be mounted on the side of the engine block. Follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank and you will find the pump.

What can cause a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse not to get fuel to the engine?

How do you know it is not? When a car doesn't start then everyone assumes it is fuel related. Spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner into the air intake. If it starts then it IS fuel related. If it does not then you need to have a shop put a scanner on it and they can tell you what is wrong. It is cheaper than guessing.

Why do you have to step on the gass to get your car to start and if you dont step on gass it dieys but dose not do it all the time.?

Do you know if the engine has a carburetor or is fuel injected? Fuel injected should not require stepping on or pumping the gas pedal as sensors in and around the engine determine the amount of gas for starting and running. An engine with a carburetor typically has a choke that controls the amount of air that is delievered to the engine. if the choke is staying/stuck open, pumping the gas pedal will pump gas into the intake manifold which feeds the power cylinders. Pumping the gas on a fuel injected engine does not pump gas into the intake manifold. If the choke is sticking from time to time it could cause this problem (intermittent as you describe)

Where is the fuel filter on a 1983 Mercury Cougar V8?

You know what the metal fuel line looks like coming into the carburetor? Follow it down, probably behind the A/C compressor at the front of the engine. It will be a barrel looking type of device, with a piece of rubber hose and hose clamps at both ends.
