Check the fuel pressure also.
Well on my 1996 Explorer, My wife drove to the gas station to get gas. Got back in and tryed to start it.......wouldn't start......turned out to be the fuel pump and sending unit....ran fine to that point.
You should'nt hear the fuel pump.
On a 1998 Ford Explorer : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment ( relay # 5 is the fuel pump relay )
Supposedly Jiffy Lube (I don't know if you have one where you are) or a ford dealer will do it for under $100. At least they will in my 1995 Explorer XLT
The electric fuel pump is inside the fuel tank
I simply want to know the replacement cost to replace a fuel pump on a 2005 Ford SUV. Approximate cost will be fine.
On my 1995 Ford Explorer if the switch has been tripped so that no power is going to the electric fuel pump , the fuel reset light comes on in the gauge cluster in the dash
There is a tool you need can be had at any parts store , wish i would have know that before a bent the thing .
need to know where transmission plug is for a 2002 ford explorer?
As far as I know until the 1995 Ford Explorer ( referred to as generation 2 ) the Ford Explorer did not have any air bags
I would check the fuel pressure and fuel filter. If you have a check engine light on, then you will need to have it checked for codes. That will mostly tell you what you need to know.
i need to know wwhere the fuse is at for the power windows on a 99 ford explorer
