How do you know if the heater core is bad on a 1993 Isuzu pickup?

If the core is leaking water into the floor board on the inside of the car it is bad,check to see if your floor mat and/or carpet is wet if so replace.If the core is clogged up it is bad. Feel the heater hose under the hood ( there are two of them one beside the other) after the engine is hot both hoses should also be hot. If only one is hot the core is plugged. Disconnect both hoses from the engine and try to flush the core with a water hose ,spray into one hose water should come out the other. If water is not coming out other hose replace core. Remove the dash bolts it does not need to come all the way out. also remove the glove box this will help you remove the heater box which the heater core is behind pretty easy after the dash is out of the way hope this helps
