A good sign of a water pump going bad is noise. It usually makes a grinding sound. Another sign is antifreeze leakage around the water pump. Some manufacturers put a small hole on the top side of the pump so that when the bearings fail coolant leaks out from this hole. Another good sign is high water temp gauge. When the water pump goes bad it fails to do its job of pumping coolant through the engine, hence the high water temp gauge. Hope this helps.
The 2008 Subaru Outback has 16 valves.
The 2003 Subaru Outback has a 5-speed manual.
I would need to know which engine is in my 2011 Subaru Outback to answer this question. Oil capacity information is in my owner's manual.
i dont know what am i crazy
You have not provided enough information for me to know what you are asking.
A Catalytic Converter reduces unburned exhaust gasses.
pretty much any subaru engine will fit into any subaru if you know what your doing. but i would suggest going for a motor from a 2001 forester to be safe.
I have a subaru outback 2001 LL BEAN and I don't know if mine has VDC or where to find the button to turn it on. ***** The VDC(Vehicle Dynamics Control) System works in conjunction with the ABS and the TCS(Traction Control System). It will automatically come on when you hit hazardous road conditions or if you make a sudden move, and will automatically go off when things are back to normal. So "you" don't turn it on, and "you" don't turn it off.....
it's1-6-3-2-5-4that is all i know
Subaru engines are non-interference, meaning that the valves and pistons never occupy the same space. You only need to know this if you are planning on breaking a timing belt, something you won't have to worry about if you replace the belt (and water pump) at the recommended interval. --Ken
I have my moms car and the battery died, My three years old left a light on. I can't find the mechianism to open the hood to give it a hot shot. I know the hood release is in the cab but I can't open the hood.
There are two belts on the front of the engine. If you see one only, the other one is broken. If you want to know how to describe it to the attendant at the auto parts store, just tell him which things aren't working. Chances are the other belt needs replaced too so why not do it now?
