You can try replacing the batteries to see if that helps. If not you may need to get a replacement or see if the power it working properly.

How do you replace tailgate lock actuator of a 2001 grand Cherokee?

mine is out right now i know how to get it out just having problems finding a new one aftermarket it is located inside the rear hatch panel there is 6 screws you take out and then then unhook the 2 wires for the rear window defrost and then the panel just pops off the lock motor is the really big one in the middle of the door it has a manual another easy way to identify it is it has a manual lock lever on the driver side of the actuator... as far as removal make sure you have the new one handy and take out the old and replace the same way hope that helped some Grinding noise inside the liftgate when using the locks. Either won't lock or un-lock (Mine won't lock. Broken drive gear, broken axel on switch gear. Bad design.) Removing the trim: - 5 screws, 2 defroster connectors. Grab the handle at the bottom and pull to remove the 10 trim fasteners. You will break a few of the yellow fasteners, maybe the green. The trim panel is pretty tough, pull forcefully, but carefully... Last are the top 4 white fasteners. Pull back the rubber waterproofing panel halfway, carefully (if you are clean, it may re-stick OK, otherwise, use adhesive when reapplying). One torx screw to remove the actuator. Locate a new actuator and enough new clips to replace the ones you broke. Reinstall actuator. Start trim at the bottom yellow clips and work your way up. See the Related Link below for photos and instructions. The best site I found for this problem.

What Led Zeppelin album featured a brown paper bag for it's cover?

The album was In Through The Out Door. In through the out door The brown bag wasn't "on" the cover; as a marketing stunt, In Through The Out Door was released with five different covers, then packaged in the brown bag. Buyers didn't know which cover they had until they removed the wrapper. Kind of a sad way to try to boost sales.Coda

How do you buy 2003 ford windstar blend door actuator?

Just give info to the auto parts store. They should know what it is. If not the dealer will know.

Where is the blend air door actuator drive circuit on the jeep grand Cherokee limited 1997?

The HVAC system is all under computer control and there is little or no stand alone circuitry. The most common fail with the system is a broken blend door. The computer will detect a fail condition and go into "hibernation" because it doesn't know how to deal with failure. Replacing the blend door will bring the system back to life. Check the information on heatertreater.net for diagnostic information and a repair procedure.

If the blend door actuator is ok what other part can fail on the heater on the 2000 ford windstar?

There's the heater core itself - getting plugged upAnd then there's the blend door itself - they've been know to get stuck and/or break.See "Related Questions" below for more

How do you know if the actuator is bad on a 2002 S-10 ZR2?

Assuming we are talking about the temp blend door actuator, if the air coming out of the heater ducts in the cab is cold and the temperature control is on hot and the engine is running and fully warmed up (195 degrees) and the coolant reservoir is on the full mark and both heater hoses under the hood are hot, you probably have a faulty temp blend door actuator. If you have one heater hose that is hot and the other is only warm or cold, you probably have a plugged heater core. If both heater hoses are only warm or cold you probably have a stuck open thermostat.

Why does the heater behind the dashboard make a clicking noise when turned off?

Don't know what the year, make or model is but it sounds like the temp blend door actuator gears are stripped.

Is instrument panel removal necessary to replace blend door actuator on a 2003 crown Victoria?

I know it is on the '96. So, just give your local Ford parts person a call. They will tell you.

Does any one know how to change the blend air door motor on the air conditioning unit of a 1998 crown Victoria?

OK, I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but the answer below is a bit simplified. YES, if you already have access to or have the 'instrument panel' (read: DASH) out of the vehicle, the answer below is correct. The reality here is that this is a major repair by standards of the usual/general garage/DIY/home mechanic. In order to change this particular actuator, the dash of the vehicle must be removed. I qualify that by saying that, of course, as a professional shop, we do not actually take the entire dash out (as manuals 'suggest'), but it does, in fact, involve removing the dash from its mouting location, which includes moving the steering column and many, many other related parts (these being plugs, lines, tubes, vaccuum lines... and let us not forget: the DREADED- "AIRBAG" things! [wouldn't you hate to have one of those go off while you were working or just finished working? Not only could you be hurt or killed, but the replacement cost alone is about two grand... I'll let YOU decide). At any rate, if you were to read a 'manual' about replacing this actuator instead of actually having it done it yourself several hundred time, the answer below is what you would find. One more thing: In many cases of THIS PARTICULAR VEHCILE, the actuator goes nuts and actually BREAKS the door hinge which is located inside of the evaporator case (which, unfortunately involves additional labor to remove and replace). Now, I'm not saying this is YOUR case, but if it is, replacing the actuator alone will nto solve your problem (is the A/C making a 'clicking' noise after you start the car?). Good luck. How do you know if blend door is operating correctly?

Blend Door ProblemYour problem sounds like the common blend door problem on the Ford Expeditions, and Ford Explorer. The door is on a vertical axis and when it breaks, it can swing back and forth randomly giving heat or AC or nothing. The difference on acceleration is the force placed on the door swinging it one direction. You can check the operation by fully opening the glove box, removing the actuator motor on top of the plenum box and examining the blend door axle (the actuator is under the unit on top of the hump behind the flexible black plastic cover. It is on top of the unit, behind the glove box in the 2002 F-350 though). Pictures of the common fail signature are available on the Related Links below. There are several "free" fixes that mostly are worth what you pay for them. The solution on the web site is solid and proven over hundreds of vehicles and will resolve the problem once and for all.

How do you close the blend door on a 2004 S-10 Blazer 4.3?

The blend door is electrically operated and the only way I know of to access it is to remove the dash board assembly.

How does a blend door work?

A blend door is short for Blend Air Door. There are other names such as temperature door, etc.. The blend door, blends or mixes the hot air with the cold air. There usually is an actuator motor that opens and closes the blend door a little at a time to adjust how much hot air and cold air to mix for the temperature setting you have chosen. If your blend door or doors are broken sometimes you will only get cold air coming thru the vents or maybe just hot air with no air conditioning. For more information on the fault codes, etc for the Jeep Grand Cherokee blend door problems, checkout the Blen Dor Store on Ebay. There is an easy blend door replacement kit with only two parts to install. No Dashboard Removal. The Blen Dor kit is guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. For more information try a search for Blen Dor . Close, but not exactly. On most modern vehicles, air is constantly blown through the AC evaporator core and then the blend door can divert some or all of the air through the heater core. In full AC mode, the blend door is closed against the heater core inlet and all air flows around the heater core and directly into the vent system. In heater mode, the compressor is deactivated and the air flowing through the evaporator core has no temperature change. As before, the blend door will now direct some or all of the air flow through the heater core and into the vent system. In the old days, the blend door was controlled by a slide lever on the AC panel which was connected to a cable that ran to the blend door. In the mid 90's most automotive companies went to computer control over the blend door, using a pseudo stepper motor to control the door. A common design flaw in these systems is the end point detection for door movement. For a computer algorithm to control the door, it has to "know" when the door is closed against the heater core or blocking the free flow of air through the vent system. This is done by driving the motor and door to a stall point and detecting a voltage surge from the motor as a digital signal indicating the end extent of movement. The catch is that over time the plastic doors cannot withstand the over-stress of the calibration routine and will break. When this happens, all control over heat and AC is lost. The problem is common on multiple vehicles and HeaterTreater has built a line of products for the most severe cases. We are always looking for additional applications for our repair technology and would be happy to discuss how we can provide a solution for your particular issue.
