To determine the version of iMovie, or any other Mac software, select the software's name in the menu bar which is always at the left hand end after the Apple menu icon. From that menu select About iMovie (or whatever software you are using) and the info window will tell you about the software. Use Software Update... (from the Apple menu icon) to ensure that you have the latest versions of Apple's software that are available for your computer.

You can only have 2 video tracks in iMovie 08-11. There is only one video track in iMovie 06 and lower. Though, you can still apply effects like aged film without taking a video track.
i dont know, however you can export from imovie into quicktime just press share then quicktime
