How do you know if you need a water pump. We have not seen any antifreeze on the ground and it is not making any weird noises.The service department said we needed one due to it was leaking.?

It could have a slow leak that is evaporating from engine heat before it is getting to the ground.
If all else fails take it for a second opinion.
