If it has stretched to the point where you can't disengage the clutch any more that would be a good sign, also if it breaks of course.
There is no clutch cable its hydrolic.
Open the hood, and take a look at your firewall. If it has a clutch master cylinder its a hydrolic. If you only see your brake booster and thats it, chances are its a cable clutch. But as a basic rule, if you have a master and slave cylinder it is hydrolic.

Well cable could be froze up. Replace the clutch cable. If cable is working adjust cable. If the clutch cable is adjusted then it's time for a new clutch
If your replacing the clutch you shouldn't need to bleed anything. But you probly should adjust it, I'm prety sure the 86 has a cable clutch, which is easy to adjust. if you happen to have a hydrolic clutch you should bleed it just to make sure.
It has an automatic clutch. Therefore it doesn't have a cable.
