Drive the car long enough to warm up the trans fluid. Then park it - leave the engine running - move the shift lever through ALL the positions ending up in PARK. Then pull the transmission dip stick - wipe it off and reinsert it - pull it out again and check it. The fluid level should be somewhere between the two marks. If it is below the marks add fluid a pint at a time - keep checking until it is up to "normal." If it is too full - drain some out or you may blow out your seals.
