You need to check the charging system with a volt meter. It should have 13.9 to 14.2 volts at the battery with engine running.
It is possible but you have to know what you are doing.
i need to know what the wires are on the radio for a 1996 Tahoe. Buy a Haynes Repair Manual for Chevrolet &GMC pickups, covers suburban and Tahoe wiring diagrams in good detail.
2 hrs. If you know what you are doing.
check your grounds at the tail light they go to chrome plastic light itself.
BIG M Chevrolet is the best Chevy Dealer I know of in Louisville, KY. They have a great selection and great prices. They have all their inventory online too so you dont even have to drive to the dealership unless you see that they have the Tahoe your looking for. Their Website is www.BigMchevrolet.com. I hope this helps
As in most other vehicles it's most likely a bad alternator or a bad mass airflow sensor. Try hooking-up jumper cables from car to car..(The jumper car must be running) If the Tahoe stays running while connected it's the alternator... I'll check back or msg me to let me know....
depends on the year model I know that my 2001 has 2 and they are located under the intake manifold.
I checked www . motorcraft . com ( no spaces ) It lists 2 alternator part numbers for the 2001 Ford Winstar - 3.8 liter V6 Both are ( 115 amp alternators ) Motorcraft GL426 - new alternator Motorcraft GLV8426RM - remanufactured alternator
It regulates the voltage that your alternator receives and sends! You can purchase a Chevrolet alternator that has an eternal regulator in it and by-pass the external one. You'll have to find out from a mechanic to see which one will work. I did know but now I don't remember.
sounds like the alternator belt is loose, check it out and let me know.
what answer i am asking a question n i want an answer please i wanted to know where did they take a 2001 chevy tahoe that repossed from 1143 west 48th street on 10/25/11
Check the output at the battery posts. With a multimeter it should be putting out between 13.5-15 volts.
