there is no gt turbo. there was only the gs turbo and the gsx which was turboed, the gt didn't come til the 3rd generation eclipse which was in 2000 but 2000+ are all non-turboed.
For the right price you can put a turbo on just about anything. Unfortunately for you the cost to put a turbo on a non-turbo eclipse is probably more than going out and buying an eclipse with a turbo already on it.
K&N or AEM will work just fine.
On a 1995 non turbo Eclipse there are 2. One is at the front end of the car right off the exhaust manifold and the other which is on the long pipe just after the catalytic converter.
I just finished replacing the starter on a 2001 4 cylinder Mitsubishi Eclipse. You can watch the video here: http://eturkov.blogspot.com/2008/10/diy-2001-mitsubishi-eclipse-starter.html
Yes you can, but if you don't increase your exhaust, intake, and make sure that your rings and pistons can handle the heat. If you don't so all that and then some you will just blow your engine.
Yes they make a turbo kit for it just matters what you won't to spend
I just need to figure out how to take my door panels off my car, 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, so I can install some new speakers.
try bleeding your slave cylinder, especially if you just did clutch work
or you could just change your high compresion pistons to low compresion ones and buy a t5 turbo
bepending on your motor option 2.0 liter or 2.0 liter turbo-yes- find a reliable source at a salvage yard (my source rt43 auto salavage) all kinds of inteligent minds will steer you in right direction. rt 43 auto is on net, just look, call, and learn.
just buy the ANY MAKE AND MODEL. when i asked for some for my 2001 eclipse they said that would be perfect.
Make sure the boost air isn't escaping from anywhere; for example the piping which runs from the turbo, to the intercooler, then to the engine. If any of this is split or frayed then your engine will be getting a lot less boost than it is supposed to. As well as this it could indicate a faulty turbo. Or a faulty wastegate, in which case you will need to replace the turbo unless you have an external wastegate, in which case just replace wategate
