If you think you have a vacuum leak because of a bad gasket, spray the area with carb cleaner while the engine is running. If you have a vacuum leak the engine idle speed will change when you hit the right spot.
Remove the oil line from the Turbo. Remove the temperature sensor from the Turbo. Remove the Turbo retaining nuts. Replace the old Turbo gasket with a new gasket. Reverse the process to install the new Turbo.
If you know it is bad, just unbolt the hold down and pull it out.
if it is just a blown exhaust manifold gasket it can ruin your valves, so replace it correctly and make sure everything is clean before putting on the new gasket
No risk just make sure head is not warped before replacing gasket Is this a quad 4 motor????????????????????
The sensor is bad. A properly-functioning knock sensor allows the ECM to advance timing until it senses a knock. It then retards timing until the knock just barely goes away allowing for optimal gas mileage.
Because there's no sensor on a head gasket its just plastic
No.
No
Code PO342, Camshaft sensor came up, mechanic says replacing the balve cover gasket will fix this. Does that sound right?
u need to know what codes its reading go to auto zone and have it read for free
It is possible so just replace the oil pressure sending unit to be sure. If your oil pressure is low and you drove the car around for any period of time with a blown head gasket you may have internal engine damage which can cause low oil pressure. You may have destroyed this engine and it may need an overhaul.
Camshaft position sensor aren't hard to replace, just remove the bolt(most on have 1) and disconnect the wire. Reinstall the new one(just remember to replace the o-ring/gasket).
there are a number of things that could cause this. water in the gas, bad oxygen sensor, blown or bad head gasket, cloged air filter. you would just have to take it to a mechanic for them to check out to actually know what is wrong
we need to know which gasket your talking about. Gasket in a condesate pump
no gasket sealant needed. Just original gasket is fine.
What year, and application? NEW ANSWER: That would be the knock sensor,
camshaft position sensor gasket or head gasket both likely
