It is no more reliable than any other blog. Only their large audience sets them apart from most other blogs inasmuch as there are more eyes that might recognize falsehoods or biases in their articles. Snopes is run by a husband and wife team in Southern California. They are not authorities on what they write, rather they rely on sources and references much like Wikipedia. Unlike Wikipedia, however, there is no perr review system in place for Snopes. They're sources often number less than 5 per legend and often come from other blogs or websites themselves.
They have been in business for a long time, and everything that they have reported has been true; they have not lied anytime in the past.
Snopes can be wrong sometimes and they will admit this and make corrections. The site as a whole will never be discredited due to this though.
Compare the site to at least two other good sites, then see if Wikipedia has the same information and facts. If it does, the site's reliable. If Wikipedia disagrees with the information on that site, Wikipedia's lying, and the site is reliable.
A very reliable site for those who do not know a lot about cars and their dependability, is caranddriver.com. There have been around for quite a while and address many factors such as safety and affordability.
It is not absolutely reliable
Yes it is 100% reliable :)

Not personally, but I wish I did!!!!! There is probably a more reliable place to ask that than this site.
i think it is a reliable site. although i haven't yet gotten what ordered from there yet I am pretty confident in it. I didn't want to know what my order's status was though. That was my only problem with it. it is powered by YAHOO so that was good, too.
