The main symptom of a yeast infection is itchiness. There is over-the-counter medication that cures most yeast infections, but they also have stronger prescription medication if you have a more resistant strain.

The main symptoms of a bladder infection surrounds urination. When i get them, I feel like i have to pee a lot more often and more urgently (even though i dont need to and may not even be able to), and in more severe cases it is painful to pee. Bladder infections can be caused by not urinating after sex, and in one case the symptoms hit me 12 hours after the act. I get the antibiotic ciprofloxacin prescribed, which should resolve the problem within 3 days.

Yeast infections and bladder infection differ in terms of location. For instance, yeast infections affect the vagina while bladder infections affect the bladder and urethra. Other differences deal with symptoms. Yeast infection can cause itching while urinary tract infections cause burning sensation and frequency of urination. Both can be the result of bad hygiene and intercourse. Actually, the difference between them is that one is caused by Candida which is a yeast that lives in the body, usually in the background and then overgrows to cause yeast infections such as thrush, whilst bladder infections are caused by bacteria. Yeast infections ARE NOT caused by bad hygiene OR by intercouse, and the only bladder infection which CAN be caused by intercourse is Cystitis. It is said that cranberry juice can help prevent Cystitis although there is currently no scientific or medical proof. I hope this help clarify. If you get a yeast or bladder infection, please don't be embarrassed, it DOES NOT mean you are dirty or have poor sexual habits.

Has anyone taken a medication called Dificid for a C diff infection Did it cure you?

One answer is not sufficient to know how effective Dificid is. I just took my last pill. Praying C-diff does not come back as it has with the three previous medications that I took. I will report back in a couple of months as to whether or not my C-diff reoccurred after taking C-diff. The Dificid cost me $1,560 with Medicare. It is a shame that medications in the US are so expensive that you have to decide what you can live without in order to pay for your medication :-(
