the banana will color change over time from green to bright yellow to a brighter yellow and then eventually start to turn brown. once its in the stage of yellow to brown color it is starting to rot. plus the banana will lose its firm texture and start to feel soft and mushy. there usually good when you buy them dark green for approximentally a week stored at room temperature.
